Thursday has come to an end...

I am so glad that the weekend is almost here!! We have lots to do but I am excited about it.

Tomorrow at 6 is opening day for softball. Abby and I will be at the ball field from 6 to midnight! My nieces, Makayla and Makenzie both play softball and we will be there to show our support! The theme for opening day this year is "Under the Lights". Most of the games will be played after dark and the girls are very excited about it!! Abby and I are pretty excited too!! We went and picked up out team shirts today and tomorrow, while Abby is in school,I will pick up some black ribbon to finish off our shirts!! I can't help but add a little something to our shirts!! :)

Saturday morning Abby has her second soccer game! She is doing so good this season and she is sooo ready for her game!! I am so glad that she enjoys playing because I really enjoy watching her progress with each and every practice and game!!

This afternoon Justin decided that we should have a picnic at the park and let Abby get her fish on! Haha! She had a blast! I think she caught around 5 catfish! She cracks me up when she is reeling one in! It is the funniest thing ever!!! Needless to say we had a wonderful evening!!

Time for bed! Busy busy day tomorrow!!!

Happy Tuesday

I love this weather! It has been amazing! We have pretty much been spending all our free time outside! Abby would just soon stay outside playing!

So proud of my Baby Girl!! She played so good at her soccer game on Saturday! With a total of 3 goals and several assists, she was a beast!! She was glowing with excitement after the game!!! She was not really sure that she wanted to play this season. I so glad that I decide to go ahead and sign her up!! All the girls on the team played great!! We have a wonderful group of girls!

Today my plan is to get the house cleaned up. We had soccer and all the fam over this weekend and that left very little time for cleaning!!:(

Rain, I love it!

I am loving this rain!!! I would love it even more if I was at home in the bed though.

Why is it that I sleep so much better when it is raining?

In Wichita today taking my Step Dad to his therapy appointment this morning. I did have time to run by the Endoscopy Center, where I used to work, to visit with some friends! It was nice to see everybody! I am looking forward to Friday, gonna have drinks with a great friend that I have been missing like crazy! Some much needed drinks and talking!!

Time to head back to Burk!

Happy Tuesday!
I love mornings when I don't have any trouble getting Abby out of bed!!  It makes for such an easier morning. Got Abby off to school and now it is time to catch up on some blog reading. :)

Okay, if you have ever ready my blog before you would know that I love True Blood. I can NOT wait till the new season starts! I am having withdrawals and more so now than I was before. On Friday I went to Hastings to look for a movie for my Step Dad and finally remembered to pick up the 1st book of the series, Dead Until Dark, A Sookie Stackhouse Novel. I am really not much of a reader, it has to be something REALLY amazing to keep my attention! I had no worries about not being able to finish it though. I freaking loved it!!! I finished it in the early afternoon on Saturday and I was ready to head to Hastings right then and pick up the 2nd book. I did manage to wait until Sunday to go and get it. While I was there I went ahead and grabbed both the 2nd and the 3rd books, I knew that I would not be able to put them down. And I am almost finished with the 3rd one now.  I am completely consumed! Not. Kidding.  Since I started the 1st one I have dreamed about nothing else, I am living the book in my dreams. It is just crazy!! I love it though!! If you haven't read these books, you need to! Wonderful!! They are wonderful!





As you can see I am partial to the hottie Eric on the show!!! The books are for sure worth reading and the show is definitely worth watching!!!

Well all this talk about the show/book makes me want to go ahead and get busy reading!

HAPPY TRUE BLOOD TUESDAY!!

Thursday...Thursday...Thursday..

Man, I did not want to get outta bed this morning!! After yesterday, I am pretty sure that I could just sleep all day long. What a cluster yesterday was!!! I am still worn out from it all. The new washer and dryer set was delivered right on time yesterday...But things from then on did not go as planned. They were going to take out the old set and install the new set and I was going to do nothing.. Yep, you guessed it. That is not the way it happened!! Not at all. The guys said that they could not get the cold water to turn off going to the washer, so they would not be able to un-hook it. We have a water well since we live out in the country, so I told him that all that I had to do is to turn off the pump to the well and there would be not water to the house. I had figured that would be a great solution to the problem on hand..apparently they did not think so. Long story short, for liability reasons they were only able to leave the new set in my dining room and I could move/install everything or they could come back on Friday.  We have been without a washer and dryer since Friday and I was NOT going to wait another day or two for that matter!! After thy unloaded the new set in the dining room and hit the road, I immediately got started on moving out the old set. I was pretty impressed with my abilities to move it all by myself. After it was all said and done, it took about 3 hours to get it all hooked up and everything back in place.  I did acquire a few injuries, but I am still alive and we have a working washer and dryer, I would consider that a GREAT ending!! I will say that I am pretty freaking sore this morning and I think that a nap will be in order very soon!!!

My Baby Girl is home sick today!:( She has a upset tummy. I hope that it is just something she ate and not the virus that is going around. She tried for 30 minutes to talk me into letting her go to school. Bless her little heart. I finally got her to understand that she would not be able to have fun at school running to the bathroom every 5 minutes. :( She is all snuggled up in my bed watching cartoons. I think that I am about to join her. :)
